The trip commenced in Beijing on 4th July 2018 and departed for Tianjin on 11th July. All expenses were paid for except for the round-trip flight tickets, hotel accommodation in Tianjin, meals during free-and-easy, and the tips for tour guide and driver. This was only possible because of POP’s Foundation, the China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption, the Social Affairs Department, Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government.
This 8 days, 7 nights China Culture Trip included:
- A visit to Prince of Peace Children’s Home
- Learning traditional Chinese arts and crafts
- Learning from the Shaolin Kungfu children
- Visiting places of interest in Beijing and Tianjin
- Cultural exchange with local Chinese students
It had been a meaningful time of cultural exchange. Many friendships were forged and many memories were created. Looking forward to the next China Culture Trip.
