HOH began by providing medical relief for refugees coming to Junk Bay (near Tseung Kwan O) from Mainland China to reside at Rennie Hill. The work of HOH quickly increased in scale as it began to assist the community as a whole. Today, the services of the HOH extend throughout Tseung Kwan O, Sai Kung, and other areas in East Kowloon.
