On Tuesday May 19, pastors and members from fourteen Bay Area Christian churches and organizations, representing a widely diverse range of ethnicities and denominations, are uniting as one body to serve the greater good. They will come together at the Vallco Mall to begin processing 2 million surgical masks, to be distributed to nursing homes, homeless shelters, food banks, hospitals and other organizations in need throughout the Bay Area. The event is “Christian Love in Action”. It is organized by the SHP Foundation and POP’s Foundation, who sourced and procured the masks. SHP Foundation was founded by Peter and Susanna Pau of Sand Hill Property Company. POP’s Foundation was founded by Ken Yeung, the President of Prince of Peace Enterprises, Inc. Volunteers will unload boxes of masks from warehouses, place stickers with Christian messages, divide by geographical destinations, load the boxes into vehicles and personally deliver the masks. More than 70 volunteer drivers are expected. Volunteers will wear masks and follow social distancing protocols.
