Joshua is extremely talented and handsome. He lives at Prince of Peace Children Rehab Center. He therefore has received remarkable therapies and education that’s provided in our center and is doing very well.
He is polite, respectful, but occasionally one can see a glimpse of sadness on his face. Being a very intelligent (probably one of the smartest) child he knows his time is running out to find a forever family. In Chinese culture being a disabled person means you have a high possibility of being abandoned by the birth family, being raised in an orphanage and ending up in an institution for adults, without a real future or hope.
If he’s never seen a fellow orphan adopted he probably would accept his fate considering he’s in a good orphan home that has great facilities and kind teachers who even taught him to play piano (given he’s got natural musical talent)!
However when his close friend who had a similar (and even more severe) physical condition joined his forever family, the hope was kindled, but so was the anxiety and sadness as the days go by without the news of a family coming for him.
This young man has great potential! He can easily be a language teacher…
a worship leader…
an office worker, doctor or engineer…. His future is limitless. More important, he can be a great son — if only a mom and/or dad can come for him! Will you be his parent?
