The POP’s Foundation (POPF) is pleased to announce a new way to help children waiting for adoption in China.
Eligible individuals or couples are invited for an all expenses paid 3 days 2 nights visit to the Prince of Peace Children’s Home and other orphanage in Tianjin, China. While there, you will be able to see the good work that is being done at the orphanage, meet and interact with staff and observe the daily living of children with special needs.
The trip is designed to help you to understand the issues orphans are facing, to take inspiration from the good work being done to help and nurture these children, and to create future advocates to share the needs of waiting children in China to find forever families some day.
In order to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
– Potentially meeting all China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption (CCCWA) adoption rules, such as but not limited to: Health, criminal background, financial, and employment clearances;
– Have no more than five children living at home
People who meet the criteria will be invited to join the next POPF travel group, based on space available. Groups will travel twice each year, in the spring and fall. You are required to pay your round trip air fare to Beijing. All other expenses (including internal transportation and accommodations) will be covered by a grant from POP’s Foundation. We suggest all attendees arrive in Beijing in Oct. 3rd as we have a full schedule starting on the 4th. Home studies are not required; we only ask for willing hearts.
